Summer 2023
The year I moved to Lyon. Another change in my life (by the way, I am writing this in February 2025, you're not ready for next year). After spending the spring in Lyon, which is much colder than Montpellier, I travelled back to Provence almost every weekend to capture some beautiful weddings. The feeling of warm mornings and evenings I have been missing- the scorching afternoon heat, not so much.
At the beginning of my career, I photographed a wedding in a beautiful castle. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back there as the owners decided to sell it. 8 years later, the castle hasn't changed and they are back hosting weddings! Yoohoo! That castle was the Chateau Martinay.
Finally, the long awaited last wedding of the season took place in a magical venue that I had been hoping for a while to go to. And it lived up to my expectations if not more! The getting ready room is completely opened to nature, OMG! Only in the South can such a place exist. I can't wait to go back to the Domaine de Brés.
