Yes investment, because that is what it is. When I came to wedding photography, I recalled my parents and other family members wedding photos. They are really important as it is a very big step in their life. I loved looking at my parents photos even is they are a bit blurry, badly framed and a bit stiff, some of them are even cute and I can feel the joyous even that it was. More than 30 years later, these little pieces of paper are but a memory that I never had and yet hold on to dearly.
As a big fan of science-fiction, I often imagine what would future generations or aliens would think as they discover our pictures. I would love for them to feel like they missed the best party on Earth, the "saudade" as the portuguese would say, of a time of insouciance long gone or just the love that unitied people.
So if we look closer in time, your children will experience that. A memory they never had. Because nothing pass the test of time like memories. We still recall stories from many centuries past but the flowers have long wilted.
